Are you an experienced professional passionate about developing talent? Do you want to share your expertise and contribute to the growth of Nuclear Medicine in Europe? Join us as an EANM Mentor and help build the next generation of Nuclear Medicine professionals!
What you'll do:
As an EANM Mentor, you'll engage in regular virtual sessions with a young professional, sharing your expertise and insights throughout a one-year mentorship period. The EANM Young Professionals Council will carefully match you with a mentee based on your expertise, field of specialization, and mutual professional interests. During the initial introduction meeting, you and your mentee will together define your mentorship goals and schedule. This is your opportunity to make a lasting impact on the field.

Guide professional development: Share your experience and insights to help shape career paths in Nuclear Medicine
Provide expert knowledge: Offer guidance on clinical practice, research methodologies, and professional growth
Build meaningful connections: Engage in regular virtual meetings that fit your schedule
Foster innovation: Help develop new perspectives and approaches in Nuclear Medicine
What you'll need:
Professional experience: 10+ years of experience after MD/PhD in Nuclear Medicine or related fields
Expertise: Current position as department head, senior physician, group leader, or leading technician
Time commitment: Availability for regular virtual meetings throughout the year
Communication skills: Interest in sharing knowledge and mentoring others
EANM membership: Active Individual Member status

Rules of Participation in the EANM Mentorship Programme
The participation in the EANM Mentorship Programme shall take place on the basis of the EANM Mentorship Programme General Terms and Conditions, which shall be complied with at all times.

Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, this shall in particular (without limitation) include:
  •  Commitment to and compliance with the Guiding Principles & Rules as set forth in the General Terms and Conditions.
  •  Entering into a Mentorship Agreement with the Mentee setting forth the mutual expectations as well as the goals, focus and scope of the mentorship relationship.
  •  No financial compensation or reimbursement of costs and expenses for becoming a Mentor.
  •  No recruitment of my Mentee for a job at my own department/hospital during the period of the Mentorship Programme (typically one year).
  •  Commitment to have regular virtual meetings with my Mentee.
  •  Participation in onboarding for the Mentorship Programme for ethical and quality reasons.
  •  Sending immediate information if circumstances change and participation in the Mentorship Programme is no longer possible.
  •  Providing a filled-out feedback form to the EANM Office after the end of the Mentorship Programme
